What Everestway Collects When You Visit

At Everestway, we gather information in three ways to maintain our automotive parts catalog and improve your browsing experience:

Information You Provide Directly: When you subscribe to our newsletter or contact us through our site, we collect your email address and any details you choose to share about your vehicle or parts inquiry. We never sell this information to third parties.

Information Collected Automatically: Like most websites featuring automotive parts and accessories, we automatically log technical details when you visit — your IP address, browser type, device information, pages viewed, time spent on our struts and sensors catalog, and referring website. This helps us understand which Everestway product pages resonate most with vehicle owners.

Information from Third Parties: Because Everestway participates in the Amazon Associates Program, Amazon shares anonymous tracking data when you click our affiliate links to view struts, oxygen sensors, tonneau covers, or other parts on their marketplace. We also use Google Analytics to measure overall site traffic and popular search terms like “Everestway struts” or “Everestway oxygen sensor.”

02

How Everestway Uses Your Information

We use the data we collect to operate our automotive parts resource and serve the repair community effectively:

  • To deliver our newsletter featuring new Everestway products, installation tips for struts and shocks, and seasonal maintenance reminders
  • To respond to your questions about specific parts — whether you’re comparing our oxygen sensors or researching tonneau cover fit specifications
  • To analyze which categories (struts, sensors, exterior accessories) receive the most attention and adjust our catalog accordingly
  • To fulfill our Amazon affiliate obligations by tracking which product links lead to purchases, enabling us to earn commissions that support this site
  • To improve site performance — faster load times for our product pages benefit everyone shopping for reliable aftermarket auto parts
  • To comply with legal requirements if a dispute arises or a government agency requests records

We never use your information to sell unrelated products or share your email with automotive marketers outside our own newsletter.

03

Cookies and Tracking on Everestway’s Site

Everestway uses cookies — small text files stored on your device — to remember your preferences and measure site activity. Here’s what each type does:

Essential Cookies: These keep our site functional. If you’ve dismissed a notification or set a preference, essential cookies remember that choice so you’re not repeatedly asked. They don’t track you across other websites.

Analytics Cookies: We use Google Analytics to see which Everestway pages (like our struts category or carburetor product page) get the most visits and how long people stay. This data is anonymized — Google doesn’t connect it to your personal identity.

Advertising and Affiliate Cookies: When you click an Amazon link from our site, Amazon drops a cookie to track whether you complete a purchase within their attribution window. This is how we earn affiliate commissions on Everestway-branded parts and accessories you buy through our recommendations. We don’t control Amazon’s cookie practices — refer to Amazon’s own privacy policy for details.

Managing Cookies: Most browsers let you block or delete cookies. Visit your browser’s settings menu and look for “Privacy” or “Cookies.” Note that blocking essential cookies may break some site features, and blocking affiliate cookies means we won’t receive credit if you purchase through our links, which funds our ability to maintain this automotive parts resource.

04

How Everestway Shares Information with Partners

We share your information only in limited, specific scenarios:

Service Providers: We work with email platform providers to send our newsletter and hosting companies to keep everestwaystore.com online. These partners access only the data necessary to perform their role — for example, our email provider sees subscriber addresses but doesn’t receive your browsing history.

Amazon and Affiliate Partners: When you click a link to view Everestway struts or oxygen sensors on Amazon, they receive referral information indicating you came from our site. Amazon uses this to attribute any purchase you make. We don’t send Amazon your email address or personal details — only the fact that a click originated from everestwaystore.com.

Legal Requirements: If a court order, subpoena, or valid legal process demands it, we’ll provide the requested information. We’ll also share data if necessary to prevent fraud, protect our rights, or ensure the safety of our users and the broader automotive parts community.

We never sell your email list to third-party marketers or share your personal information with unrelated businesses.

05

How Everestway Protects Your Data

We take reasonable precautions to secure the information you entrust to us:

  • Our website uses HTTPS encryption, so data transmitted between your browser and our server remains private
  • Email addresses and contact form submissions are stored on secure servers with access restricted to essential personnel
  • We regularly update our website platform and plugins to patch known security vulnerabilities
  • We don’t store credit card information — all purchases happen directly on Amazon’s secure checkout, not on everestwaystore.com

No system is completely immune to breaches, but we monitor our infrastructure and respond promptly to any suspected security incidents. If a breach affects your data, we’ll notify you as required by law.

06

Your Privacy Rights Under U.S. and International Law

Depending on where you live, you have specific rights regarding the information Everestway collects. We honor these rights for all users, not just those in regulated regions.

Rights for All Everestway Visitors

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Correction: Ask us to update inaccurate information
  • Deletion: Request that we delete your email address and any contact form messages (subject to legal retention requirements)
  • Unsubscribe: Opt out of our newsletter anytime via the unsubscribe link in every email

GDPR Rights (European Union Visitors)

If you’re in the EU, you also have the right to:

  • Data Portability: Receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format
  • Restriction of Processing: Limit how we use your information while a dispute is resolved
  • Object: Refuse processing based on legitimate interests (such as analytics)
  • Withdraw Consent: Revoke permission for newsletter emails or optional cookies at any time

Everestway relies on legitimate interest (maintaining our automotive parts catalog and earning affiliate commissions) as our legal basis for most data processing. For newsletters, we rely on your explicit consent.

CCPA / CPRA Rights (California Residents)

California law grants you the right to:

  • Know: Request details about what personal information we collect, use, and share
  • Delete: Ask us to erase your personal data
  • Opt-Out of Sales: Everestway does not sell personal information, so no opt-out is necessary
  • Non-Discrimination: We won’t treat you differently for exercising these rights
  • Correct: Request correction of inaccurate information (CPRA enhancement)
  • Limit Sensitive Data Use: We don’t collect sensitive personal information as defined by CPRA

State Privacy Laws (Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah)

Residents of Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), and Utah (UCPA) have similar rights:

  • Access and obtain a copy of your personal data
  • Correct inaccuracies in your personal data
  • Delete your personal data
  • Opt out of targeted advertising (Everestway does not engage in targeted advertising as defined by these laws)
  • Opt out of the sale of personal data (we don’t sell personal data)

How to Exercise Your Privacy Rights

To submit a request under any of these frameworks, email us at privacy@everestwaystore.com with the subject line “Privacy Rights Request.” Include your full name, the email address associated with your account (if applicable), and a clear description of what you’re requesting (access, deletion, correction, etc.).

We’ll respond within 30–45 days and may ask for additional information to verify your identity before fulfilling the request. For newsletter unsubscribes, the link at the bottom of every email is the fastest method.

07

Children’s Privacy and Everestway’s Policy

Everestway’s catalog of struts, sensors, tonneau covers, and other automotive parts is intended for adults and professional mechanics — not children under 13. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 years old.

If we discover that a child under 13 has provided an email address through our contact form or newsletter signup, we’ll delete that information immediately. Parents who believe their child has submitted information to Everestway should contact us at privacy@everestwaystore.com so we can remove it.

This policy complies with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) in the United States.

08

Third-Party Links on Everestway’s Site

Our product pages include links to Amazon, where you can purchase Everestway struts, oxygen sensors, and other parts we feature. Once you click those links, you leave everestwaystore.com and enter Amazon’s ecosystem.

Amazon has its own privacy policy governing how they collect, use, and share your information during checkout and beyond. We don’t control Amazon’s data practices, and we’re not responsible for how they handle your purchase history, delivery address, or payment details.

We recommend reviewing Amazon’s privacy policy before completing a purchase. The same applies if we link to YouTube videos demonstrating strut installation or other third-party resources — those sites operate under their own privacy rules.

09

International Data Transfers for Everestway Users

Everestway operates from the United States, and our servers are located in the U.S. If you visit our site from the European Union, Canada, or another region with different data protection laws, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States.

U.S. privacy laws may not offer the same level of protection as those in your home country. By using everestwaystore.com, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States. For EU visitors, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses with our service providers where applicable to ensure adequate safeguards.

10

How Long Everestway Retains Your Data

We keep your information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy:

  • Newsletter Subscribers: We retain your email address until you unsubscribe or request deletion
  • Contact Form Messages: Stored for up to 2 years to reference past inquiries about Everestway parts or installation questions
  • Analytics Data: Google Analytics aggregates and anonymizes visit data; we retain reports for up to 3 years to track trends in which automotive parts categories gain traction
  • Affiliate Tracking: Amazon’s cookies expire based on their attribution window (typically 24 hours); we don’t retain identifying purchase data beyond what Amazon shares in anonymized reports

If you request deletion of your data, we’ll honor that request within 45 days unless we’re legally required to keep certain records (for example, to comply with tax laws or defend against a legal claim).

11

Email Communications from Everestway

When you subscribe to our newsletter, we’ll send periodic emails featuring:

  • New Everestway products added to our catalog — struts, sensors, exterior accessories
  • Seasonal maintenance tips relevant to automotive parts we feature
  • Answers to common questions about installation, compatibility, and part selection
  • Occasional announcements if we expand into new product categories

Every email includes an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it once, and you’ll be removed from our mailing list within 48 hours. We won’t send you marketing emails after you opt out (though we may still email you directly if you submit a contact form inquiry).

We don’t share our subscriber list with other automotive parts brands or third-party marketers.

12

Do Not Track Signals and Everestway’s Response

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting that sends a signal to websites requesting they not track your activity. Currently, there’s no industry-wide standard for how websites should respond to DNT signals.

Everestway does not alter its data collection practices in response to DNT signals. However, you can still control tracking by:

  • Blocking cookies in your browser settings
  • Using browser extensions that prevent third-party tracking
  • Opting out of Google Analytics via the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On

Keep in mind that blocking cookies may affect site functionality, and blocking affiliate cookies means we won’t earn commissions on Amazon purchases you make through our links.

13

Changes to Everestway’s Privacy Policy

As our catalog grows — adding new strut models, sensor types, or exterior accessories — and as privacy laws evolve, we may update this Privacy Policy to reflect those changes.

When we make significant updates, we’ll post a notice on our homepage and update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of everestwaystore.com after changes take effect means you accept the revised policy.

We encourage you to review this page periodically, especially if you’re a regular newsletter subscriber or frequent visitor to our automotive parts catalog.
